Luke Diiorio (b. 1983) lives and works in Pennsylvania. Diiorio received his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Lehigh University in Pennsylvania, and his Master of Arts in Painting from the Royal College of Art in London, UK.
Diiorio’s recent body of work deals not only with art historical concerns, but also with themes of landscape and the natural world. The curvature of the paintings evokes the natural curve of the Earth and echoes established representations of the horizon line in landscape painting.
